Fish Mart is owned by KALPATARU EXPORTS, located at Veraval Port, Gujarat, India. Gujarat has a phenomenal 1600 kilometers of sea with many ports in the coastal region. In Veraval alone, there are 3000 Fishing Trawlers and all around the Gujarat sea coast there are approximately 10,000 Fishing Trawlers.
It is within this immense activity and near worshipping of the sea that Fish Mart lives and thrives. Fish Mart is the dream of Mr. K V Fofandi, who always dreamt of giving the best of Indian Fish Products to the World. With his immense experience of nearly 35 years in the Fishing Industry, Mr. Fofandi has not only seen the very depths of the ocean but of the marine product business as well. Mr. Fofandi is well-versed with export units and handles all Banking and Exports related issues.
His son, Mr. Piyush K. Fofandi, is the Proprietor of the Company, KALPATARU EXPORTS. Piyush, a Gandhian and a very spiritual person, has formed KALPATARU EXPORTS with the single philosophy that “The Fishermen who Catch the fish should Pack and Process the Fish”. After all, he is the one who knows the fish best. The fisherman and the ocean are in a deep relationship. For the fisherman, the ocean is a living, vibrant ecosystem that is synonymous of the entire universe. Who else but a fisherman who explores the ocean everyday firsthand would know about what best the ocean has to offer. Thus, the best of Organic and Hygienic Fish products are promised and delivered through Fish Mart. We are also owners of the brand “Krishpi”. The name is symbolic of a crisp in taste and of a promise that we will give the freshest to all our clients.
We never compromise on with Quantity and Quality aspect. We maintain our product Quality because our quality control starts at the Sea itself and is intensified further when the Raw Material is on its way to Processing. From time to time appraisals are taken of both fishermen as well as our technical staff about their performance in terms of Quality and improvements are implemented where ever and when ever needed. Fish Processing is conducted under strict supervision and High Quality Standards are always met. Our Quality is not confirmed to the raw materials but is reflected in our Packed Materials, Maintenance and above all relationship with all our business associates.
When it comes to technology, we are second to none. All our Trawlers are fully equipped with Wireless, GPS and Fish Finders, Our Sister Concern Marine Care is in the business of installing these Electronic Instruments to all trawlers.
We supply Silver Pomfret, Black Pomfret, Red Snapper, Seer Fish, Indian Mackerel, Ribbon Fish, Croaker – Dhoma, Reef Cod – Rock Cod, Squids , Cuttle Fish among others. We also supply products available in Indian Waters as per our client requirements.
All our products are supplied in packing of 20 kg, 10kgs, 2 x 5 kg, 10 kg Bulk, 12 kg Bulk. Specifications are also tailored as per client requirements.
